The only truth is music
Peter discovered music in his youth. During the Commodore 64 era, he was active in several demo groups of that time. Later, he moved from the Amiga to the PC, where he eventually met Marko through the internet.
Marko published his songs in the Hornet Archive, and Peter sent him a remix of one of those tracks. Marko liked it so much that, at the end of 1998, they decided to start producing music together under the name **TbO & Vega**. During the first months, they worked intensively on improving the quality of their sound, and in spring 1999 they released their first joint track. At first, their music was produced in the FastTracker XM format, but soon they were also able to release their work as MP3 files.
They first gained wider attention when they placed seventh among several hundred entries in a music competition on Trax in Space. At the end of 1999, their website was launched, establishing their online presence. From then on, more and more people became aware of TbO & Vega. By the end of 1999, when their tracks were available exclusively on Trax in Space, their music had already been downloaded more than 100,000 times. As a result, they were named **Artist of the Year 1999**.
Starting in 2000, they decided to expand their internet presence even further in order to reach a larger audience. They began releasing their music on the major MP3 platforms of the time and became part of the artist rosters of well-known websites such as beatmaka.com, raw42.com, and cb4.de.
The goal they had set for themselves was achieved at the end of 2000, when they signed a record deal with **Virtual Volume**. Their first vinyl release, **Cosmic Space**, came out in early 2001 and reached number 73 in the official German DJ Playlist charts. While preparing their second release, **Peace & Harmony**, the label went bankrupt, and the artists were dropped.
The duo achieved another success when they placed second out of more than 80 entries in a remix contest for the track **Trance Unity** by Giorgio Ponticelli. This remix was released on the major label **ZYX** in February 2002.
After a hiatus of more than ten years, they returned in 2013 and have since released new material. Among other projects, they released their own chillout album in early 2015. From 2016 to 2020, they worked closely with **Sounds United Records**, releasing several original tracks and remixes. Since 2020, they have continued to release music on various labels.
In 2025, Peter also decided to release several tracks under his own name.
